Popcorn
About Popcorn Sales
Popcorn fundraising season is always a fun time of year for our scouts. Scouts love the opportunity to sell with their friends and help raise money to support their scouting adventure. As a pack we offer various ways for a scout to sell; storefront sales (with another scout in front of a store), wagon sales (scouts sell on their own to local neighbors/friends), and online sales (a online link for out of state family and friends).
This fundraiser allows our scouts to bond and work on various life skills. Scouts learn responsibility, goal setting, how to communicate, how to handle money, how to self motivate, and how to give a sales pitch.
Popcorn sales proceeds help to benefit scouts and the pack for the upcoming scout year and years to come. Scouts use funds raised for membership fees, camping adventures, scout outings, and pack activities like rain-gutter regatta boats, pinewood derby cars, and so much more. As a pack we use the funds to supply food at pack activities, to buy products to make our pack activities exciting ( for example: a pine wood derby track), and to help our scout families that may be in need.
Scouts also earn various prizes while selling popcorn. They can earn extra scout bucks to use at our scout auction at the end of the year, they earn the opportunity to get prizes from a prize box, top sellers get the chance to pie a leader in the face, and the top den earns a pizza party.
The pack popcorn fundraiser is about more than just raising money but also about the memories made and the skills learned.
